Applying champion life lessons learned from the game of sports.

About Me

I am a former Division I football player and currently serve a large Mid-West University as the Athletics Chaplain.  I am passionate about seeing athletes and people of all ages maximize their potential in sports and in life.  I am a husband to my beautiful wife, Debby.  Together we are the parents of 6 awesome children.  We love watching our children grow up, seeing our oldest son play college football on Saturday's, seeing our daughters dance, play basketball, run track, cheer and watch our youngest son develop his own path as a young man and an athlete.  We serve as Fellowship of Christian Athletes leaders for the University where I am the Athletics Chaplain.  For 7 years we have hosted a high school football team in our home the night before their games, providing them a meal along with a devotion time and life-skills teaching.  I speak to athletic teams, businesses, booster clubs, schools, universities and youth groups on applying the Lessons Learned from Athletics to Life.  All these things have been the proving grounds for what is shared on this site.

I am grateful you have taken the time to visit the site and hope you find the articles posted to be beneficial to you.  I continue to be amazed at how there are so many parallels between sports and life and how the lessons learned from participating in one are so closely applicable to the other.  Please feel free to post your comments and feedback on what you read.  If you have interest about the public speaking I do please click on the "Contact Info" tab and send me an email.
